Startup enjoys new round of investment as it also names a new CEO and COO.
Cloud-native data protection and disaster recovery for Amazon Web Service (AWS) startup N2W Software has announced the closure of a new funding round and the nomination of several executives to its boardroom.
The capital investment was led by leading global private equity and venture capital firm Insight Venture Partners. Financials of the round have not been disclosed.
Uri Wolloch, founder and CTO at N2W Software, said: “Since founding N2W Software in 2012 we’ve focused on making Cloud Protection Manager (CPM) the leader in AWS backup and disaster recovery.
“I am tremendously excited that we’re now in a position to dramatically accelerate the CPM roadmap on the way to turning our vision into a reality.”
Following the round, the company has announced it will expand its development centre in Haifa, Israel, and open a new headquarters in the US based in West Palm Beach, FL.
In addition, N2W has expanded its Boards of Directors with the addition of Ratmir Timashev, founder of Veeam Software and president of Veeam Management LLC.
Timashev said: “As enterprise customers move more mission-critical applications and data to the cloud, the need to protect them increases greatly.
“N2W Software is well positioned to lead the backup and data protection market for the public cloud, and is already the number one cloud-native backup and data protection solution for AWS.”
Lastly, N2W has also named Jason Judge and Andy Langsam as CEO and COO, respectively.
Judge was previously CEO of 5Nine Software, Veriato, and ScriptLogic while Langsam was part of the LOGICnow team that was acquired by SolarWinds and part of the SciptLogic team that was acquired by Quest Software.
Judge said: “We are thrilled with our partnership with Insight. This will allow us to expand our development, sales and marketing efforts very quickly.”
Elsewhere, N2W has signed into partnership with Veeam Software to contribute to the new Veeam Availability Suite for AWS.
