Singtel, Microsoft forge cloud partnership
Telecommunications provider makes Office 365 part of its consumer packages to drive on-the-go cloud applications.
Singapore-based Singtel has entered into a partnership with Microsoft to offer Office 365 to Singtel consumer customers.
Microsoft Office 365 is a cloud-based productivity suite featuring Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote and Outlook, as well as OneDrive cloud storage.
With the availability of Office apps on Windows and Android tablets and phones, as well as iPads and iPhones, users can use the Office suite on-the-go, with the ability to access, view and edit files seamlessly, wherever they are.
By partnering with Microsoft, Singtel will offer the product as part of fibre broadband and postpaid mobile services.
Customers will be able to choose between Office 365 Home or Office 365 Personal plans.
Singtel claims users will save as much as 30%, or $46.80 per year, compared to the product’s regular online price.
