Schneider Electric to unveil new industry-leading solutions at Data Centre World, London

Schneider Electric, the global specialist in energy management and automation, will announce new industry-leading data centre solutions at Data Centre World, London on March the 15th 2017.

Speaking on behalf of the company, Arun Shenoy, Vice President ITB, Schneider Electric UK said, “Data Centre World London is going to be an exciting event for Schneider Electric. We’re looking forward to sharing these latest innovations with the industry, as well as hosting a number of thought leadership keynote speeches that demonstrate our Edge Computing, Data Centre physical infrastructure and Cooling capabilities.”

Lead by Rob McKernan, Senior Vice President, Global IT Channels, Schneider Electric, Data Centres in the Cloud and at the Edge, will explore the new challenges surrounding the migration of virtualised applications to public and private clouds, as growing costs and tightening budgets make it increasingly challenging to keeping data on-premise. How bandwidth intensive content and data usage adds pressure to the availability of IT networks, and how sharpened government regulations on data and security, combined with the convergence of IT architectures are quickly evolving to form a new hybrid computing ecosystem comprised of cloud data centres, collocation and hosting facilities, edge computing and industrial applications. This session will take place at 11:20 on Wednesday the 15th March in the Data Centres of the Future Theatre.

The second keynote, ‘Cooling to maximize value for the Cloud’, lead by John Nieman, Director of Product Management, Cooling Solutions at Schneider Electric, will take place at 14:15 on Wednesday the 15th March 2017 in the Data centre Design and Build & Physical Security Theatre.

This session will preview the next generation of air economization, highlighting major strides in efficiency improvement through a modular designed heat exchanger.  The new technology offers data centre owners the ability to reduce capital expense and maximize available capacity while enhancing availability to deliver the maximum value for the cloud.

In November 2016, the company also launched StruxureOn™, a digital service that harnesses the power of the IoT to connect data centre physical infrastructure assets to the Schneider Electric Cloud. The remote monitoring service enhances infrastructure

performance by providing greater visibility and system analytics, which in turn proactively predicts and prevents downtime by alerting IT managers to potential failures and incidents in real-time. Demonstrations will be available on the Schneider Electric stand.

The company, who are Gold Sponsors of the London based event, also launched Galaxy VX, a highly efficient, easy to deploy, compact three-phase uninterruptible power supply (UPS) with flexible operating modes for large facilities, data centres and business-critical applications. The three-phase UPS, which will also be showcased on Data Centre World stand G40, utilizes Lithium-Ion batteries and innovative ECOnversion™ technology to provide customers with the best compromise between 99% efficiency and reliability.

Spokespeople will be available throughout the event to discuss Schneider Electric’s new product announcements. To book a press interview please contact Rory Flashman at Spa Communications.
