Irish state-agency IDA Ireland is readying the creation of a team to search for new land banks for data centre construction, according to reports.
A consultant is expected to be appointed in the near future to conduct works, which will aim to find at least one land bank in each of the Dublin/Mid East, South East, South West, Mid West, Midlands, West and North West/North East regions, according to the Irish Independent.
The project is to be carried out in three different phases, which include a national review of Ireland’s data centre market, a refinement of options and final analysis and recommendation.
