Citrix, Equinix corporate director joins Talend board

Provider arms itself with former HP, Sophos exec to drive global expansion following its IPO in 2016.

Cloud and big data integration software company Talend has appointed 58-year-old Nanci Caldwell to its board of directors in another push to expand business internationally.

Caldwell currently sits on the boards of CIBC, Citrix, Equinix, and Donnelly Financial Solutions. She has also server other companies’ board including Sophos, Deltek, Tibco and JDA.

Talend hopes to make use of Caldwell’s experience in advising on corporate strategy, including mergers and acquisitions and product direction, transitioning from product to customer and solution-focused business models, and enhancing and extending global brands.

Caldwell is the former executive vice president and chief marketing officer of PeopleSoft, a human resource management systems company.

Between 1982 and 2001, Caldwell served as vice president for different sales and marketing business areas at HP in Canada, the US and globally.

Talend was founded in 2005 and currently employs more than 600 staff. Headquartered in Redwood City, California, the company completed its initial public offering in July 2016, raising net proceeds of approximately $91.6m.

Today, the provider services 1,300 enterprise customers, including Virgin Mobile, Allianz, Orange Egypt, Sky Deutschland and RTBF.
