CBRE and Cap Ingelec team up to provide Edge data centre solutions in France
In order to adapt to the digital revolution, the companies say the solutions will draw on the complementary expertise of each company.
CBRE is collaborating with Cap Ingelec, a French company specialised in technical buildings, to unveil a comprehensive service for the Edge data centre market.
The solution was designed in response to demand from Edge Computing companies, telecom operators, data storage and IT companies as they face new challenges from major digital infrastructure changes, according to the company.
The aim is to provide operators with a range of immediately available and suitable spaces, as deployment speed has been identified as one of the key challenge for the market.
CBRE will lead the initial real estate phase, and will manage this process, from technical site approval to negotiating and signing lease or sale agreements for these buildings.

“Thanks to this partnership, we are now in a position to offer a tangible and comprehensive solution for operators’ emerging digital technology requirements,” said Pierre-Louis Dumont, Data Centre Director for CBRE.
“Thanks to our extensive and robust regional network, we are able to provide this solution to the largest number of clients from the initial launch.”
Cap Ingelec will manage the subsequent technical phase, bringing the company’s knowledge of critical infrastructure completion to bear on detailed designs for each selected site and closely monitoring the completion of future Edge data centres.
“For us, this partnership is an opportunity to provide a comprehensive solution for Edge computing companies that currently face two major challenges: the difficulty of identifying compatible sites in high-density urban areas, and the technical complexity of creating a data centre in a location that is not tailored to this purpose,” said Olivier Labbé, Deputy Managing Director for Cap Ingelec.
“We are delighted to work with CBRE. This is an opportunity to join forces and combine our individual expertise to offer a much-needed service for this market.”
